What is a recovery seed?

When you setup a Trezor, Ledger or Keepkey hardware wallet, you will be required to write down a recovery seed. The recovery seed, also known as a recovery phrase, backup phrase or word seed is a list of 12, 18 or 24 words that store all the information needed to recover your wallet.

How many bip39 recovery seeds can I store in a wallet?

Trezor, Ledger and Keepkey hardware wallets can only store one BIP39 recovery seed at a time. If you have multiple hardware wallets with different seeds, you do have the option to transfer all of your cryptoassets to one recovery seed on one wallet. There are also software wallets that allow you to enter in BIP39 recovery seeds.

Can a seed phrase recover my Crypto Wallet if I Lose my Device?

What happens if I Lose my seed phrase?

If you think your seed phrase has been stolen or might be found by someone else: You should transfer your crypto into a new wallet as soon as possible and generate a new seed phrase. If you lose access to your wallet and lose your seed phrase: You will lose access to your crypto assets.
